State of the art NMT technology with a small footprint

NeuralDesktop is not yet another Neural Machine Translation (NMT) service. It is a fully user-customizable and user-controlled Neural Machine Translation system that runs on your PC or Mac. NeuralDesktop is user-oriented, flexible and customizable, and it uses minimal computational resources (see the system requirements).

Both our translation models and the translation engine are implementing all the latest technologies in Neural Machine Translation, such as dictionaries, Neural Fuzzy Adaptation with translation memories, tag handling, and more. And since AI and neural networks are constantly evolving, we make sure to keep up with all the latest advancements in the field and implement them in NeuralDesktop.

NeuralDesktop is the most environmentally friendly Neural Machine Translation system. One of the most common criticisms of Artificial Intelligence and Deep Learning is the fact that they require massive computational resources and power in order to do their magic.

With NeuralDesktop, we did our best to minimize our environmental footprint: the translation service runs on the user’s computer and not on massive GPU infrastructures, and our translation models are multidomain, which means there is no need to train countless separate translation models for each domain – each of our models is already specialized in multiple domains. How it works

Working with NeuralDesktop is as simple as it gets! Just start NeuralDesktop and it will happily appear in your system tray (Windows) or menu bar (macOS), ready to serve translations from applications, CAT tools (through plugins) or directly through your system’s Clipboard.

Use the configuration dialog box to add translation models and choose the active client and domain for your translation project.
Fine tune the translation engine with advanced options, enable or disable system notifications, define your own keyboard shortcut for Clipboard translations, and more.
Import your own translation memories and glossaries to help the system adapt dynamically to your style and terminology.
Test on the fly every setting you change, using the provided Test Area in the configuration dialog box.
